Ansökan om anstånd med studiestart (Application for deferral of studies)

  • Om du blivit antagen men inte kommer att kunna påbörja dina studier kan du ansöka om anstånd med studiestarten - det vill säga att du ansöker om att få börja på utbildningen en annan termin.

    If you are accepted to university studies but are unable to begin at the time the course/programme is scheduled to begin, you can apply to have your studies deferred, meaning that you apply to have your studies begin a later semester.

  • Om sjukdom / Illness:

    Du behöver bifoga aktuellt läkarintyg som styrker att din studieförmåga är väsentligt nedsatt under avgörande del av terminen.
    (You must attach a doctor’s certificate specifying that you are unable to study during the period for which you have applied for deferral.)

    Om heltidsarbete / Full-time employment:

    Du behöver bifoga intyg från din arbetsgivare som styrker att du har ansökt om tjänstledighet men fått avslag, eller intyg om att du önskat att få avsluta din tjänst i förtid men fått avslag.
    (You must attach a certificate from your employer stating that you applied for a leave of absence but were denied, or, that you attempted to give notice prior to the end of your contract, but were denied.)

    Om graviditet / Pregnancy:

    Du behöver bifoga moderskapsintyg som visar beräknat nedkomstdatum.
    (You must attach a maternity certificate showing the estimated date of birth for your child.)

    Om föräldraledighet / Parental leave:

    Du behöver bifoga intyg som styrker att du beviljats föräldraledighet under avgörande del av terminen. Om barnet inte är äldre än ett år räcker det med intyg från Skatteverket som styrker barnets ålder och att du är vårdnadshavare.
    (You must attach a certificate stating that you have been granted parental leave for the main part of the semester. If the child is less than one year old at the time your studies are scheduled to start, you only need to attach a certificate that confirms the age of the child and that you are the legal guardian of the child.)

    Om vård av nära anhörig / Care of close relative

    Du behöver bifoga intyg som styrker att du vårdar din närstående.
    (You must attach official documentation supporting that you are your relative’s primary caregiver.)

    Om militärtjänstgöring / Military service:

    Du behöver bifoga intyg från Försvarsmakten.
    (You must attach a certificate from the Armed Forces confirming your service)

    Om övrigt / Other:

    Du behöver så långt det är möjligt styrka dina skäl med intyg.
    (Attach any official documents that support your reason(s) for deferral.)

  • För att kunna behandla din ansökan behöver du styrka dina skäl med intyg. Om du inte kan styrka sina skäl, välj ”Nej”. In order to process your application you need to attach documents supporting your reason(s) for deferral. If you do not have any documentation to support your application, choose “No” from the drop-down menu below.

    • Om du får anstånd ska du spara beslutet. Ladda upp beslutet tillsammans med din anmälan till den termin då du ska börja utbildningen till www.antagning.se.

      If you are granted deferral, please save the decision. Following your deferral, when you apply to begin your studies, you will need to upload deferral decision along with your new application to begin your studies at www.universityadmissions.se.

      Beslutet om anstånd med studiestart gäller när du anmäler dig till samma utbildning, på samma studieort och med samma studietakt.

      The deferral decision is valid if you apply for the same studies/programme at the same university with the same study pace.
