If you do not intend to continue your studies, you should submit notification of discontinuation of the programme. If you have discontinued the programme, you cannot continue your studies or complete unfinished courses in the programme. For this reason, it is important not to give notice of discontinuation until the courses from which you are waiting for results have reported results and are completed.

If you later wish to resume your studies, you must make a new application for a place in the programme.

The discontinuation will take effect from the date on which you submitted the notification. This means that you will not be able to complete courses you have started.

Do not forget to:

• Check that you have filled in your contact details correctly.
• Make sure you want to be deregistered from the programme. If you are making a relatively short break in your studies and intend to continue with them, you can instead apply for academic leave of absence or give notice of absence.
• It may be important to notify bodies such as the Swedish Board of Student Finance (CSN), your unemployment insurance fund or the Swedish Migration Agency that you are discontinuing your studies.
• You will receive an email message requesting that you confirm the discontinuation of your studies by contacting us from the email address belonging to your student account.
